Damaged in a fire in 1923 this Vigilante Committee Badge belonging to John H. Jackson, who was a liveryman in Tombstone and deputized by Marshal Dake at the request of Governor Frederick A. Tritle.  Has an interesting letter of provenance from his granddaughter, Mrs. Raymond R. (Johanna) Teller dated June 3, 1939 to Mrs. Orville Sweeney at the Arizona History Ass'n. 2-1/4" high
